Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why was SEED formed?
A: The poverty, unemployment, conflict and inequity that affect the lives of millions of people is undesirable and constitutes a threat to the well-being of society as well as to other life.
SEED was formed as a Trust to work towards developing a healthy, just society within an intact ecosystem, honouring in the process, parents and forebears, who through their sacrifices and foresight, have afforded their children and descendants the opportunity of a meaningful life.

Q: What is the philosophical basis of SEED?
A: SEED is founded on the notion that respect for universal values such as equality, liberty, solidarity, tolerance, compassion, responsibility, commitment and humility, learned through the painful struggles of many generations, is the most secure means to promote dignity, freedom, peace and well-being.
